Fashion Carnival in ThamesTown
The highlight event of Shanghai International Fashion Cultural Festival, a fashion carnival in ThamesTown kicked off in the afternoon of April 8th in 2006. Splendid fashion shows, art performances and other interactive activities made ThamesTown a splendid fashion stage.
On the big stage, star artists, super models and hosts were in the limelight and the participation of citizens coming from different corners in the city also brought the party into full swing. Every visitor is given a piece of Scottish tartan as an ornament.
The highlight of event on that day lied in the interactive activities. For example, a Spanish chocolate shop taught you how to make chocolates; skaters shared the frenzy for speed with you; image adviser helped the audience to create a personalized make up for the hosts and a famous dance instructor in the city were giving dancing courses there. According to the organizing committee, it was the first time that Shanghai International Fashion Cultural Festival arranged a fashion carnival for local citizens, not specializing in people in the fashion field. It was suggested that Shanghai International Fashion Cultural Festival will follow the trend in the next few years, to be more exposed to the ordinary people.
